There once was girl on
a mountain so high,
By the banks of a clear blue stream,
And every day she would rise with the sun,
And every night she would dream
She would dream of a valley
of flowers and trees,
By the shore of a great green sea,
And she'd sail on the wind to wherever it blew,
Then home to her own valley.
There once was a boy by
the edge of the sea,
In a Valley so fair and green,
And every day he would rise with the sun,
And every night he would dream.
He would dream of a mountaintop
close to the sun,
In the arms of the sparkling sky,
And he'd ride with the waves all the wide world around,
Then home to his mountain he'd fly.
Then the years rolled around
for the girl and the boy,
And they grew to a woman and man,
And the days they had played,
And the nights they had dreamed,
Grew to be what they held in their hands.
So the woman went down
to the shimmering sea,
And the man climbed the mountain so high,
And they sailed away on the wind and the waves,
And returned to their home by and by.
